Helping Victims of Hurricane Sandy

Hello Readers,

Living not far from the Jersey Shore and having visited it numerous times while living in the Philadelphia area, as well as having New York State roots, I’m very emotional about what has happened as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

I’ve spent time in a lot of the places that are currently on the news, and I can’t believe the destruction.

I’m asking for your help to help others.

My good friend, Christina Brighton Agudelo, is doing her part to help victims of Toms River and Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Christina grew up in Toms River and is asking for help for the victims of those areas.

She is asking for certain items and is taking the items herself to these ravaged cities.

You can mail the items to:

Christina Brighton Agudelo
36 Hill Street
Mantua, New Jersey
08051

This is a list of the items she’s asking for:

Blankets
Towels
Underwear
Socks
Clothes
Shampoo

Feminine products

Razors

Children’s games

Books

VHS tapes

Animal food

Batteries (AAA especially)

Non-perishable food Bread/Rolls

Bottles of Water
Bottles of Gatorade

Protein Bars
Soup
Cereal
Dry Pasta
Oatmeal
Peanut Butter

Considering there is another possible storm on its way and the temperature is going to drop further, please make certain that you send warm clothes, which include scarfs, mittens, gloves and hats.

I would appreciate if you could pass this information on to anyone that is willing to help.

Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much!

Christine
