Russian Literature

Anton Chekhov would have been 154 years old today had he lived another 110 years. I wonder what he would have said about this dispute, which would never have  happened in America.

Two drunken Russian men, disputing over the literary genres, one for poetry and the other for prose, came do a deadly end when the one man stabbed the other to death.

I can’t imagine an argument over literary genres occurring in America. I’m certain some Americans don’t know what prose is, let alone fight about it.

Ah, the power of words.
