The new year has begun and I have already made plans to take a writing class, attend writers conferences, and to complete my first novel.
These are only a few of the highlights of what I plan to do. My point is whatever it is you chose to do, start it today; execute it.
I have admiration for one of my fellow writers, Patrick Hildebrandt, who decided to perform in the 2014 Mummers Parade in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
If you have never been, I suggest you go. It’s a lively experience that entices the senses; to hear the music and see the amazingly brilliant costumes is an experience you won’t forget. You have about eight hours to make it there!!
So okay, you might not make it, but I’m proud that my friend and fellow writer reached higher and achieved one of his goals.
That’s what I hope all of us do—reach for the brass ring.
